What if racism does not merely infiltrate knowledge but owns it?

The Chair for Critical Studies in Higher Education Transformation (CriSHET) and the Centre for Non-Racialism and Democracy (CANRAD) cordially invite you to the launch of Racism’s Knowledge: Disciplines, Decolonisation and the Renewal of the Academy (2026), Volume 5 in the On Higher Education Transformation series, edited by André Keet and Shirley Anne Tate.

At a time of mounting racial violence and deepening global inequalities, this collection offers an unsparing look at the academy’s most cherished illusions. It advances a bold proposition: that formalised disciplinary knowledge itself belongs to racism, drawing all of us, whether scholar, reformer or activist, into its gravitational field.
