It is with great pleasure that we announce the theme and call for abstracts for the much-anticipated ACUSAfrica 2024 Conference.
Date and Venue
From the 16th to the 19th of October 2024, scholars, researchers, and higher education practitioners will converge at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda.
Conference Theme
Titled "Leveraging Critical University Studies Towards the Practical Pursuit of an Afrocentric University", the conference aims to delve into the core of Critical University Studies while charting a path towards an Afrocentric approach to academia. It's not just about discussing theories; it's about translating these discussions into actionable strategies that empower universities across the African continent.
Call for Submission of Abstracts
If you are interested in participating in the conference, please submit a 300-350 word abstract by the 28th of June 2024. The concept note and submission guidelines can be found below:
Registration and Attendance
The best part? Registration and attendance are free! However, please note that financial support for transportation, accommodation, and other expenses outside the conference program is not available at this time.
